Duits ziekenhuis gaat de Nederlandse markt op

Het St. Willibrord Spital in het Duitse Emmerich gaat de Nederlandse markt op. Nu trekt het ziekenhuis jaarlijks 300 patiënten uit ons land; het ziekenhuis verwacht een sterke toename.

Verzekeraar vergoedt

Een medische behandeling van Nederlandse patiënten is verzekeringstechnisch mogelijk door de overeenkomst die het ziekenhuis sloot met de Nederlandse verzekeraar Univé/VGZ/IZA/Trias. Patiënten moeten bij het eerste bezoek wel een doorverwijzing van huisarts of medische specialist kunnen overleggen. In het ziekenhuis werken veertien Nederlandse specialisten. Ook is er sinds kort een Nederlandstalige website, weet de Gelderlander.
